Mark your calendars, Heritage Open Day is coming up on the 17th of September!

Heritage Open Day is an annual celebration of England's history and culture that allows visitors free access to heritage sites and community events. This year's theme is architecture.
To celebrate, we are having free admission to our site and Guided tours of the Museum.
As the theme is architecture this year, we will be sharing our knowledge of the site with our visitors. What are the buildings that now make up the Dean Heritage Centre? How old are they? What industry has gone on here for hundreds of years?
Admissions
Entry to our entire site will be free on Heritage Open Day. If you would like to donate to support the Museum, you can do so in the Gift Shop or in one of our donation bins across the site. You can also donate online here.
Guided Tours
Have a closer look at local history with our Museum Gallery Tours, led by a team of experienced volunteers. To learn about the rich history of our Museum's building, which spans over 400 years!
Come in for free on our Heritage Open Day, walk around, see the buildings, see displays on Dean industries, and find out about the history of the site.
