Suggested Voluntary donation

£5 per family or couple

Great news for history lovers and families alike! Starting from February 14th, the Dean Heritage Centre will be offering free entry to its museum and grounds as it prepares for an exciting redevelopment project. This is a fantastic opportunity to explore this much-loved heritage site while plans are underway for some significant improvements.

The Dean Heritage Centre, which has proudly served as a cultural landmark for over 40 years, is dedicated to preserving the rich history of the Forest of Dean. As an independent charity, the centre doesn't receive regular government funding and relies heavily on the generosity of visitors to maintain its collection and site. The suggested voluntary donation to help support the centre's ongoing operations and future projects is £5 per family or couple.

During your visit, you can explore the centre’s collection, walk the scenic grounds, follow the Gruffalo Trail, and let the little ones burn off some energy at the woodland playground. There's something for everyone!

The Centre’s redevelopment is an important step in its mission to preserve the history of the Forest of Dean for future generations. Donations, large or small, are crucial to ensuring its continued success. Your support goes a long way in helping safeguard the heritage of this unique area.
