Artist in Residence - John Slater

We are proud to introduce our artist-in-residence, John Slater. He will work in the Mill Shed, which will be open to the public on Wednesdays and Thursdays when John is on-site. You are welcome to visit and ask questions, provide your input, or get involved in the projects in progress.

John is looking at the Forest of Dean Writers’ Collection. He will use this collection to make art installations linked to the museum's permanent exhibits. The museum will display these installations throughout the year.

John's innovative approach will breathe new life into the museum's narrative, weaving together the stories of the Forest of Dean with his artistic vision. Each piece he creates will reflect on the rich history and culture of the area. 

Visitors can expect to see a range of installations, each crafted to engage and inspire.
