International Women's Day Talk

To mark International Women’s Day we will be putting on a presentation on a few of the women’s oral histories from the Forest of Dean. A focus on the Dean’s industrial history has often meant that women’s voices have been left out. Collections Officer Nicola Wynn will explain what the Dean Heritage Centre oral history collection comprises of and what the people interviewed talk about. We will listen to a few excerpts of recordings of Forest women who grew up in the early to mid-1900s and find out how different their lives were to ours now.
