About the event

Archaeologist Janet Bailey will talk about human remains recovered from archaeological excavations that are part of the collections held at Dean Heritage Centre. She will tell the stories as far as we know of the individuals in the collection. We will also be exploring how people feel about human remains in museum collections and how best to represent them.

Come to the Collections room to get a glimpse behind the scenes, see objects that are not on display and chat with our staff and dedicated volunteers. A great opportunity to get close to history and discover some of the many wonderful stories in our collection.
