About the event

Find out about a local iron miner living in the late 1800s. A rare opportunity to have a hands on look at diaries of Thomas Hale who worked locally extracting ochre for the Crawshays. His diaries give an insight into his working life as well as many other aspects of his life. Come find out what he wrote about.
