About the event
Join us at the Dean Heritage Centre for a relaxed autumn day celebrating one of the season’s best-loved fruits.
In partnership with the Forest Food Network and Forest Food Forum, Apple Day brings together local growers, food lovers, families and community groups for a day full of hands-on activities, demonstrations and seasonal fun.
Have a go at apple pressing
See how fresh apples are transformed into juice and get involved with traditional apple pressing.
It’s a brilliant chance for children and adults alike to discover more about local produce and where our food comes from.
Discover local produce
Meet local gardening and growing groups and explore some of the fantastic produce being grown right here in the Forest of Dean.
There will also be demonstrations throughout the day, sharing skills, ideas and inspiration around growing, harvesting and making the most of seasonal food.
Apple-themed fun for families
Little visitors can get stuck into apple games and crafts, making Apple Day a lovely autumn day out for the whole family.
Whether you come to learn something new, meet local growers, enjoy the activities or simply soak up the atmosphere, there will be plenty to discover.
